01 — Overview
The Akamai Korea Naver Blog Revamp serves as a localized digital content hub tailored specifically to the unique Korean search ecosystem. Because traditional channels like LinkedIn and Facebook face distinct audience acquisition hurdles in Korea, establishing a highly visible, modern Naver Blog acts as Akamai's official gateway to build local brand authority and drive traffic back to Akamai.com/ko.
The Vision: Seamlessly translate Akamai's evolved global brand guidelines into a localized Korean format that welcomes new audiences.
Project Scope: Design and develop a modernized main blog page and article template, construct functional custom widgets, and establish an operational posting cadence.
02 — The Challenge
Akamai faced a disconnect between its current global position and its local digital presence in South Korea:
The Reputation Gap: While Akamai dominates the regional CDN (Content Delivery Network) market, Korean audiences do not widely recognize the brand as a cybersecurity or cloud computing provider.
Outdated Assets: The existing Naver blog has not been regularly updated since 2018, featuring outdated branding and an overly complex menu structure.
Platform Limitations: Naver operates as a highly specialized, closed ecosystem with strict templating rules. System constraints prevent standard widgets (such as external blog feed automation or split header/sidebar layouts) from working as they would on traditional CMS platforms.
03 — Our Approach
By defining clear objectives and aligning closely with Korean user experience behaviors, we mapped out a precise path to conversion:
Strategic Objectives
Increase Ease of Use: Simplify navigation patterns to help users find information easily.
Clearly Categorize Information: Consolidate redundant topics into logical pillars.
Elevate Cybersecurity: Rebalance the content structure to heavily emphasize Akamai’s threat intelligence and protection suites.
UX Analysis
Eye-Tracking Methodology: By analyzing user attention patterns and gaze points, the layout is optimized to place key content exactly where users look first.
Unified Aesthetics: Build consistent thumbnail templates, explicit category tagging systems, and dynamic brand descriptions to visually stand out in Naver feeds.
04 — Solution
To address the challenges and platform restrictions, we designed a compliant, high-performing Naver Blog layout structure:
The Layout & Features
Dynamic Masthead: Features a prominent headline clarifying what the reader will discover, backed by a striking, non-standard shape that reflects Akamai’s modern branding.
Streamlined 5-Button Navigation: We condensed and simplified the primary menu to prioritize key selling points:
Security
Cloud Computing
CDN
Security Research (Threat Intelligence)

Naver Grid System (5-Column Grid): To adhere to system restrictions, all elements—including the Akamai Profile Widget—remain strictly integrated within Naver's permitted red-bordered layout area, using spaced-out, resized 5-column configurations.
Visual Content Hierarchy
Highlight Banners: Several key content pieces are anchored at the top of the Naver feed to draw instant visual focus.
Top Row (Flagship Content): Highlights up to two crucial assets (such as the SOTI Reports or urgent cyberthreat warnings). We propose keeping this permanently locked to cybersecurity content to cement Akamai's reputation in security.
Latest Categorized Posts: The remaining four highlight slots pull the freshest posts from the four core content pillars (Security, Cloud, CDN, and Security Research).
